Classes
The Art Of Middle Eastern Dance/Belly Dance
Beginning/Continuing I,
Class will include an introduction to the art of MED/Belly Dance, you'll learn (or review) correct body stance, basic steps, veil movements, expressing emotion through dance and finally putting it all together with a small choreography. All classes will begin with a full body warm-up to prevent injury and towards the end a cool down period with slower movements to lower heart rate.
Belly Dance is powerful and uplifting, strengthens the muscles and increases flexibility. It is a true healing tool for relaxation and well being. "Its part exercise, part fun, part finding your spirit"
*No previous belly dance experience necessary.
Class Attire:
Comfortable moving, form fitting clothing.
Fringed shawl or belly dance hip scarf for hips.
No shoes necessary, if prefer slippers or half soles can be used.
*Belly dance hip scarfs and information for purchase will be available at first class meeting.
*Private lessons available upon request.
